Champion Of The Year 2023

What did it take to receive the award for "Champion of the year"?  Well, we might be here a while, but I will try keep this short as possible.

I believe that Champion of the year is a person who has determination, who is disciplined, who is motivated, has the desire in improving his or her life, willing to acquire new skills, willing to overcome obstacles and challenges and wants to rise to the top in his or her field of expertise. I also believe that a Champion has a 'can do' attitude, is passionate and willing to help others but most of all loves what they do.

Receiving this award taught me to believe in myself even when I was tired and wanted to give up. I learnt that things are often harder than i thought on the other side of someone else's job. I truly learnt to take initiative and seize opportunities rather than waiting for them but most of all when you fail you understand what it means to fail.

Being dedicated to one job is easy as you learn all the ups and downs and how to manage those tasks, but having to step up and take on new responsibilities and duties is like having a glass of clean whiskey not on ice. Having to learn the difference between job titles and the work responsibilities that comes with is a mouth full, but I was given this opportunity to motivate myself and take everything step by step even though our little "Secret" it was mind BLOWING. I didn't know which way was up or down, but someone told me to take it step by step and breath.

I started planning my days and times, training that came with it and with taking on new programs and getting to understand them was like being a baby that was learning on how to walk and talk "Step by Step".

The award of a Champion is someone who has succeeded or achieved a goal, someone that doesn't give up till they come out to the top. Since working with Monique Cosgrave and Frans Van Staden these 4 points have meaning in me grown.

  • Positive self-image for positive results.
  • Visualization actualizes our self-image.
  • Work smart by being resourceful.
  • Develop support through positive relationships.

Thank you, Frans Van Staden, for seeing and believing that I CAN!
